'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Lisa Vanderpump jokes about Duchess Kate style comparisons

By Meaghan Wray

The Duchess of Cambridge turned heads when she opted for a pair of Jigsaw trousers and a Gucci pussybow blouse on March 12. And then she grabbed attention again, but for a different reason! Following the duchess's appearance at London's Henry Fawcett Children's Centre earlier this week, the internet erupted when people began pointing out the similarities Kate's look shared with one worn by Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump.

Being compared to one of the Royal Family's most fashionable members is quite the compliment, so of course, Lisa doesn't seem bothered one bit by the chatter. In response to the flattery, the reality TV royalty shared a screengrab of a headline, along with a caption alluding to her signature favourite colour: “The difference is..she has blue blood and I have pink lol.”

Many women across the globe find major style inspiration in the duchess, though of course, there's no way of knowing whether Kate looked to Lisa for hers. There's no denying the duchess has an enviable wardrobe, full of classic Alexander McQueen pieces, chic dress coats (her go-to style!) and family heirloom jewels. Whether Kate's dressing up (like her recent glittering Missoni piece) or down (think: her favourite Penelope Chilvers boots), she always brings her fashion A-game to any outing.

Later that evening, Prince William's wife dazzled in a reworked Alexander McQueen gown for the Portrait Gala at one of her royal patronages, the National Portrait Gallery. Instead of purchasing a new dress, Kate showed off her style prowess by simply altering the floral perfection she wore for the first time at the 2017 BAFTAs.

Kate added a capped sleeve to the dress, which she originally wore in an off-the-shoulder style for the glitzy red-carpet two years ago. The gown boasted a flattering bardot neckline, fitted bodice and full-length skirt with ribbon detailing. Carrying a small Prada clutch, the royal mom looked no further than her go-to jewellery designer, Kiki McDonough, to add some shine to the look. Who knows, maybe we'll see Lisa in a look similar to this sometime soon!
