Melania Trump wears dress with cape for dinner with Prince Charles and Camilla

Maybe FLOTUS should be called FLOWTUS? Melania Trump welcomed Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla to dinner on Tuesday (June 4) evening wearing a red dress that came complete with a flowing cape.

The US first lady greeted the future King and Queen consort with husband Donald Trump, wearing a gown designed by Givenchy’s Clare Waight Keller as the couples stood on the steps of Winfield House, the US Ambassador’s home in London. If you’re keeping track, that’s one of Duchess Meghan’s go-to designers, and she was responsible for Meghan’s wedding dress. Melania accessorized the look with stud earrings and matching shoes.

Donald and Charles kept it simple in black-and-white tuxedos with black bowties. Camilla, meanwhile, wore a sparkling white dress, which she accessorized with a diamond necklace.

The Trumps hosted Tuesday evening’s dinner after the Royal Family treated them to a sweeping banquet at Buckingham Palace on Monday.

Melania’s cape dress was a much different look from the SS19 Christian Dior dress she wore on Monday. Melania accessorized that gown with white gloves and wore her hair up for the evening, which featured appearances from the Queen, Prince William, Duchess Kate, and a host of other royals.
