The Duchess of Cambridge has had quite the week in fashion! Kate recycled one of her fan-favourite dresses and a surprising metallic shoe perfect for a night out on Wednesday (June 12) while she attended an evening gala supporting a cause close to her heart.
The duchess looked no further than London-based Brazil-born designer Barbara Casasola when she brought back the cream knit off-the-shoulder number. She anchored the look with metallic Jimmy Choo heels (the same ones she wore for the 2019 BAFTAs!) and a small silver Wilbur & Gussie satin “Charlie” clutch to carry the essentials.
Her hairstyle was of particular interest. While the mom of three almost always sports her signature bouncy curls, she styled her hair a little differently this time. The waves were pushed back a bit for a cool, edgy riff on her classic style. The 37-year-old’s beauty look was perfection – a bronzed and glowing natural face, paired with a subtle smoky eye.
The duchess stepped out for the first annual gala dinner in recognition of Addiction Awareness Week at Phillips Gallery. As patron of Action on Addiction, it’s clear Kate wanted to show her support for the important cause in hopes of raising awareness.
Diehard royal fans will recognize this stunning gown from an event Kate attended in July 2016. The duchess paired the gown with blush pink sandals and a sparkly clutch while visiting the Natural History Museum.
But the style-setting reach of the the Duchess of Cambridge extends far beyond her fans across the pond straight to Hollywood! In August 2016, one such celebrity inspired by the “Kate effect” was Kourtney Kardashian, who posed for a photoshoot in the same gorgeous cream dress worn just a few weeks prior by Kate.
The reality star looked gorgeous as she reclined on a gold chair wile posing for The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine. Kourtney wore her long hair slicked back from her face to accentuate the off-the-shoulder detail, accessorising simply with a gold choker and rings.
