From casual to classy, Duchess Kate is always one of the best dressed on any given day. But when it comes to her spring fashion this year, HELLO! Canada readers have a clear favourite look.
On Friday (June 14), we asked you to pick her best outfit from the past few months, and the cream Catherine Walker coat dress she wore for the Beating Retreat ceremony on June 6 was the clear winner, taking 22 per cent of the vote.
The number featured a beautiful Peter Pan collar, a nipped-in waist and two side pockets. Kate paired the piece with a cream Mulberry clutch, her Gianvito Rossi suede 105 pumps and her Cassandra Goad Cavolfiore earrings. Her Irish Guards shamrock brooch by Cartier was pinned to her coat.
Kate is queen of the recycled wardrobe! The 37-year-old style starter has worn this particular coat dress twice before. In 2016, she wore it in Victoria, B.C. while departing for home after their Canadian royal tour. The following year, she chose it for the family’s Easter Sunday services.
Coming in second place at 11 per cent was the casual set of separates Kate wore for a visit to her RHS Chelsea Flower Show garden, Back to Nature. The fashion maven paired her brown Massimo Dutti culottes with a lace blouse by MiH Jeans. She traded in her typical heels for crisp white Superga sneakers, leaving her brunette locks styled naturally down by her shoulders. It was the perfect casual outfit for a fun day out in the sun!
As for your third favourite outfit, that was the LK Bennett trousers and navy-and-white Breton long-sleeved top Kate wore while announcing The King’s Cup competition on May 7. She paired the very nautical look with navy suede block heeled shoes, and also accessorized with a red envelope clutch bag.
