Duchess Kate is beautiful in blue Elie Saab for day one of Royal Ascot

The Duchess of Cambridge looked plucked from a fairytale as she stepped out for the first day of the Royal Ascot on Tuesday (June 18).

Kate glided across the freshly mowed Ascot grass in an ethereal blue Elie Saab gown with the perfect modern topper. The number crafted by the Lebanese fashion designer, boasted a sweet pussy bow around the neck and sheer arms. As for accessories, Kate chose a pair of seemingly new metallic pumps and a matching small clutch.

The 37-year-old kept her beauty look simple and classic, with a light layer of peach blush, a subtle smoky eye and a natural pink lip. Her hair was up in a perfect side bun, perfectly showing off her diamond drop earrings. She topped off the look with a baby blue hat fixed with a large flower.

The brunette beauty was on maternity leave for last year’s Royal Ascot, but she made a beautiful attendee in 2017 alongside her husband, Prince William. Then, she looked elegant in white lace Alexander McQueen dress, which featured sheer arms similar to this year’s look and a high neck. Her hair was up in a low chignon, topped with a white fascinator for the occasion.

Duchess Kate was not alone on the sunny day! She was joined by the Queen, Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, Zara and Mike Tindall and other members of the Royal Family.

Her Majesty also dazzled in a periwinkle coat and green-and-blue floral dress, while the Queen of the Netherlands looked perfect in a high-neck peach dress, her bouncy blonde curls sitting beautifully underneath a large floral topper.
