After a long Thursday that included a flight they probably hope to never have again in their lives, Duchess Kate and Prince William finally departed Lahore for Islamabad the morning of Oct. 18 to begin the final day of their tour.
The Duchess of Cambridge looked elegant as ever while getting on the plane, choosing a beautiful cream kurta by Elan which had navy blue patterns and piping all over it. She wore a pair of matching trousers with it, along with nude heels by J. Crew and carried a carry-all bag by Smythson. She wore her hair down, as we’ve seen her do for much of this tour, and accessorized with gold earrings.
This is the second gorgeous kurta we’ve seen Kate wearing during the tour. On Oct. 15, she stepped out to their first engagements in a royal blue kurta by Pakistani designer Maheen Khan. The beautiful design featured white embroidering and Kate looked stunning in it as she and William visited a school and then a national park in the Margalla hills outside Islamabad.
On Oct. 17, William and Kate boarded a flight to Islamabad that should have gone without incident. But a massive electrical storm outside the capital prevented them and the entire press corps from landing not once, but twice. After two aborted landings, the captain turned the plane around and made an emergency landing back in Lahore, where everyone spent the evening. Phew!
