Duchess Meghan was all smiles, looking happy and relaxed as she stepped out to the One Young World Summit in London on Oct. 22 – and she was wearing a Canadian designer!
The Duchess of Sussex sported the beautiful purple Maxwell midi dress by Aritzia’s brand Babaton for the event at Royal Albert Hall. She wore blue heels on her feet and had her hair down in loose waves, and her long, flowing locks looked gorgeous.
This also isn’t the first time we’ve seen her in this dress! We previously saw it in Birkenhead in January, when she was pregnant with Archie Harrison. Then, the mother-to-be wore it underneath a cherry red coat by another Canadian label, Sentaler.
Meghan was attending the One Young World Summit as part of her role as the Vice-President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust. The One Young World Forum is comprised of 2,000 young people from 190 different countries, and its main goal is to create social change by encouraging responsibility among the leaders of tomorrow. This year, The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust partnered with One Young World to bring 53 youth from different Commonwealth countries to the summit. That already must have been an amazing experience, but imagine meeting the duchess on top of that!
This is Meghan’s second royal engagement in a week. On Oct. 15, she and Prince Harry attended the WellChild Awards in London, where they presented prizes to inspirational youth who have battled illness or helped their family members through challenging physical times. While there, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed Archie is a redhead, and also shared several cute anecdotes about their son while speaking with award winners.
Meghan also re-wore an outfit for that event, too! Then, keen royal watchers may have recognized the green dress from Italian designer P.A.R.O.S.H. – it was actually the same dress she wore while announcing her engagement to Harry in 2017! She paired it with brown suede Manolo Blahnik heels, a Montunas tortoiseshell bag with a scarf handle and topped it with a tan coat by Sentaler.
The duchess’ appearance this week comes just after she and Harry announced they would be taking a six-week break from engagements to spend time with family in November. They will likely travel to the United States to visit Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland for American Thanksgiving.
