The TIFF Daily: What’s on September 14, 2013

Gala Presentations: Life of Crime
Life of Crime is so high profile that it’s actually being held as two separate galas, with one screening at 6 pm and another at 8 pm. Jennifer Aniston plays the wife of a wealthy Detroit developer who is kidnapped for ransom by two ex-cons.
Details: Visa Screening Room (Elgin), 6 pm and Roy Thomson Hall, 8 pm
Star Power: Jennifer Aniston, Tim Robbins, John Hawkes, Isla Fisher, Mark Boone

Midnight madness: Witching & Bitching
A divorced dad and his eight-year-old son flee through Basque forests with a gang of robbers after committing a jewel heist, only to encounter a coven of violent and amorous witches. The admittedly outrageous and Monty Python-esque Spanish horror/comedy is one of those films you have to see to believe.
Details: Ryerson Theatre, 11:59 pm
