When it comes to finding a girlfriend, longtime bachelor Leonardo DiCaprio has his pick from the most beautiful women in the world.
But the actor, who is famous for dating models, says that at the end of the day he is looking for a nice, down-to-earth girl he can take home to mom.
Speaking to Gayle King during a CBS This Morning interview, the Oscar-nominee said he looks for “humility, a good sense of humour and not a lot of drama” in a potential love interest.
Gayle, perhaps unaware of his ongoing relationship with model Toni Garrn, then asked Leo if he needed her help fixing up with anyone. “I’m alright. I’m good right now,” he replied with a smile.
The actor, 39, also revealed that he’s coming round to the idea of settling down permanently. “The truth is, its gonna happen when it’s gonna happen,” he said on the subject of marriage. “I’m just gonna let it happen naturally. I really am.”
“That’s the way to do it, I feel. And when it’s right, it’s gonna be right.”
Leo is normally fiercely private when it comes to his personal life. Now thought to be dating 21-year-old Toni, he has been linked to Nina Agdal, Bar Refaeli, Erin Heatherton and Gisele Bundchen in the past.
In light of his Academy Award nomination for The Wolf of Wall Street, he also spoke about his first Oscar nod, for What’s Eating Gilbert Grape back in 1994.
“All I remember is being paralyzed with fear that I'd actually have to get up on that stage because somebody told me that a billion people watch that show,” said Leo, who was 19 at the time. “And that's the only thing I really remember.”
“I was in a shambles about that. I actually didn’t want to win because of that reason.”
