Woman spends $25,000 on plastic surgery to look like Jennifer Lawrence

A Texas woman named Kitty has spent more than $25,000 on plastic surgery procedures in order to more closely resemble Jennifer Lawrence.

The 30-year-old dog trainer – who also has a five-year-old daughter – said that she was inspired to “refine” her features after friends compared her to the stunning star.

"I'm not trying to look like Pamela Anderson here during her Baywatch days," Kitty told ABC News Nightline. "I'm trying to look like a very capable, very personal, level-headed female who is an Academy Award winner."

In her quest to look more like the 23-year-old actress, Kitty underwent liposuction to her face and body, a breast augmentation, rhinoplasty and had fat grafted to her cheeks and backside. In total, the procedures cost her $25,000 (minus a discount for appearing on TV).

Her husband, Eric, tried to dissuade her, but Kitty was determined to go under the knife.

"I wasn’t quite as comfortable with my body ... I don’t think you have to be crazy to want to look better or feel better about yourself. That’s not crazy,” she explained.

After six hours of surgery and several weeks of recovery, the super fan said she was delighted with the results.

"Of course I look like Jennifer Lawrence," she said. "I thought I had a resemblance to Jennifer Lawrence before my surgery and now I think after, my features are more refined to where they resemble her more."

According to Kitty's surgeon, Dr. Franklin Rose, attempting to resemble a celebrity is a common request in his office.

"Patients come in wanting to have lips like Angelina Jolie, breasts like Scarlett Johansson, Megan Fox," he said.

And Kitty isn't the only star-gazer to have turned to cosmetic surgery in recent years. In October 2013, a Los Angeles man named Toby Sheldon famously spent more than $100,000 on plastic surgery procedures so he could look more like Canadian singer Justin Bieber.
