'Buffy' actress Charisma Carpenter joins the cast of 'Lost Girl'

Charisma Carpenter, or Cordelia “Cordy” Chase to Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans, will guest star in the fifth season of Canadian succubus fantasy-drama Lost Girl’s fifth season.

Charisma will portray the character Freyja, who is modeled after the well-known mythological Norse goddess, popularized for riding a boar with golden bristles.

The Angel and Veronica Mars actress, 43, has already begun production on the fifth season of the popular Showcase series, and it is reported that the 13-episode season will be shooting in and around Toronto in the weeks to come, with a release date set for fall 2014.
