Ben Affleck is a famed actor, director, writer, father and husband, but he is not an accomplished blackjack card counter, despite reports that have surfaced.
The rumour mill was set abuzz when CNN cited an anonymous source that reported the A-lister had been counting cards last Tuesday night (April 29). According to the story, a casino guard came up to Ben while he was playing blackjack and escorted the Oscar winner to a hired cab and a permanent ban from the premises.
But it seems this unnamed source may not be airtight, as the casino issued a press release on Sunday (May 4), stating “Mr. Affleck, a valued guest of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, is not banned from our property and is welcome back any time.”
The Chasing Amy actor is not new to gambling and has been known to win big pots in the six-digits (and giving massive amounts of money away to casino staff!)
The 41-year-old star will portray billionaire Bruce Wayne/Batman in 2016’s Batman vs. Superman, and he’s also gearing up for the 2014 release of Gone Girl, in which he portrays the story’s protagonist, Nick Dunne.
