‘I Wanna Marry Harry’ canceled due to low ratings

Fox has canceled I Wanna Marry Harry, in which aspiring royals vied for the love and affection of a fake Prince Harry.

The reality series has suffered such low ratings that Fox has decided to swap out the program from its coveted time slot.

Beginning next week (June 17), the reality show will be replaced with episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Family Guy and The Mindy Project.

Fox is still trying to sort out where in its schedule to air the remaining episodes, but, for now, the show’s small fan base will be able to watch the program at Fox.com and on demand.

I Wanna Marry Harry had all the makings of a successful reality dating show. A Prince Harry lookalike was cast to impersonate the free-spiritedroyal in an attempt to trick (and woo!) royally aspirational American women. It’s The Bachelor meets Joe Millionaire – the latter being a Fox hit in January 2003, where a construction worker impersonated an inheritor of a wealthy estate, while hopefuls vied for his heart.
