Alec Baldwin is in talks to produce a show with NBC inspired by Toronto's Rob Ford

Many have said that Chris Farley, were he still alive, would make the perfect actor to portray the much-maligned Toronto mayor, Rob Ford.

But it looks like Alec Baldwin is in line to take on the recently-out-of-rehab municipal leader, as it has been revealed that the 30 Rock star is in talks to play a character loosely based on the man who sought to reduce the elusive “gravy train.”

Very little is known about the project at this time, but Deadline reports that the series will be a one-hour cable show written by award-winning author Wells Tower and developed by Alec and NBC Productions.
