Though her glowing skin and statuesque frame defy aging, Sandra Bullock turns 50 on July 26.
"I have the best life right now. There is nothing that I"m missing," the Hollywood star recently told Hello! Canada magazine.
The stunning Oscar-winning actress has dazzled audiences in a wide range of roles. She thwarted an evil plot to blow up a speeding bus in Speed, played an undercover FBI agent at a beauty pageant (ahem, scholarship program) in Miss Congeniality and got lost in space in Gravity.
Sandra's enviable career has proven her prowess in both comic and dramatic roles, from playing Tess McGill in the TV series Working Girl to starring in suspenseful thrillers like The Net and Murder by Numbers.
And thanks to a who's who of notable costars – thinkRyan Gosling, Keanu Reeves, Hugh Grant, Nicole Kidman, Stockard Channing, Ben Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, James Garner, Maggie Smith and Christopher Plummer - the mother to four-year-old Louis has built up quite the Hollywood network.
Sandra's closest A-list pal is none other than recently engaged actor/director George Clooney, with whom she starred in Gravity. "Sandy and I have known each other for over 20 years and we both were struggling actors when we first met," said George on Reddit of the lovable leading lady. "She's somebody I adore, really, she's just fun to be in a room with. I'm sure people will assume people aren't quite who they appear to be onscreen — they're shorter or taller or meaner or dumber — but Sandy is exactly what she appears onscreen, an incredibly charming woman who's really just fun to hang out with."
And her amazing work ethic isn’t stopping with age. Sandra will be voice acting in The Minions in 2015, a spin-off featuring the popular villains from Despicable Me.
With her milestone birthday in mind, we're celebrating the amazing life of the ultimate Miss Congeniality.
