Mike Myers introduces his son Spike and newborn daughter Sunday

Canadian comic Mike Myers appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday night (Aug. 28) and it was a family affair.

The Austin Powers star was on the show to promote Austin Powers 4, in which he’ll reprise his role as the titular character. But David was more interested in talking about Spike, 3, and his newborn baby girl, Sunday Molly Myers.

Mike, 51, told The Late Show host that he named his son Spike because it is a common Liverpool nickname if your name is Eric – but he also proclaimed to be a fan of poet, Spike Milligan.

As for Sunday? The comedian says he and his wife hate Sundays and wanted to turn it around and make it something good. Molly, his daughter’s middle name, was inspired by the Shrek actor’s aunt who lives in Liverpool.

David joked, “Sunday Molly Myers sounds like a song from the ‘60s,” which prompted the Canadian star to pull off his best British accent.

“Now we’re going to play for you, Sunday Molly Myers. It’s great to be in America,” the father of two joked.

Mike's wife, Kelly Tisdale, gave birth to baby Sunday in April 2014.
