Barbra Streisand will return to 'The Tonight Show’ for the first time in 50 years

Barbra Streisand is bringing her vivacious self to the small screen this Monday (Sept. 15).

The Funny Girl actress and Oscar winner is set to appear onThe Tonight Show, which issomething the legend hasn’t done in 50 years. Her last appearance was with host Johnny Carson in 1963, when she was doing press for her debut record, The Barbra Streisand Album.

And because this is such a special occasion, Jimmy Fallon will be devoting the entire show to the 72-year-old Yentl star.

She’ll be on air to promote her brand-new album, Partners, which is something Barbra seldom does.

“Unlike most performers promoting their product, Barbra has done precious few interviews over the years. It seems like she hasn’t had a bad run. Maybe less is more,” said Barbra’s rep, Ken Sunshine, in an interview with New York Daily News.

The album is slated for a Sept. 16 release, and will consist of only duets. Her partners for the project include Andrea Bocelli, John Mayer, Stevie Wonder, Billy Joel, John Legend, Elvis Presley, Blake Shelton and more.
