Fans will be able to see Robin Williams grace the big screen once more in an upcoming holiday comedy, A Merry Friggin’ Christmas.
In one of his final movie roles, the late actor stars as the belligerent patriarch of the Mitchlers – a quirky family of misfits – with Community actor Joel McHale starring as his estranged son, Boyd.
When Boyd accidentally leaves his son’s Christmas gifts at home, the dysfunctional duo are forced to make an eight-hour road trip together to gather the gifts and save Christmas before sunrise.
The film, which opens Nov. 7, also co-stars Lauren Graham, Clark Duke, Oliver Platt and Candice Bergen.
Robin, who tragically passed away in August, will appear on the big screen for the last few times in the coming year, in a reprisal of his role as Teddy Roosevelt in the upcoming Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb and also in the 2015 animated film, Absolutely Anything.
