Jon Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe’s dark comedy, A Young Doctor’s Notebook, is coming to Canada.
The hit BBC series will premiere exclusively on shomi, a new video-streaming service from Rogers and Shaw, which is slated for a nation-wide launch on Nov. 3.
The series tells the darkly funny tale of an early 20th-century doctor practicing medicine in a small Russian village as he struggles with a morphine addiction. Jon plays an older – and much taller – version of Daniel’s character in the critically acclaimed and kooky show, which the Harry Potter actor once described as “incredibly fun to film.”
Other popular shows from across the pond that will now be available to Canadian audiences via shomi include the Irish sitcom Moone Boy starring Chris O’Dowd, The Honourable Woman starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Top of the Lake starring Elizabeth Moss and Holly Hunter, and The Wrong Mans starring Mathew Baynton and James Corden.
