‘Forbes’ names top-earning entertainment personalities

From television hosts to top chefs, 2014 was the year of the “entertainment personality.” They’re charming and charismatic but, most of all, these 10 dynamic celebrities know how to boost their earnings with lucrative business deals that capitalize on their star power.

Simon Cowell nabbed Forbes' top spot this year, taking home $95 million from his America’s Got Talent, X Factor and American Idol franchises.

In second at $95 million sits Howard Stern, who made most of his money through his radio contract with Sirius XM.

Also on this year’s list? Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah and Gordon Ramsey, among others.
