Jennifer Lawrence is rushed to safety after being mobbed by fans

Jennifer Lawrence has been on a whirlwind press circuit promoting her latest film, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. This week, however, the actress had quite the scare when she stopped to sign autographs after leaving David Letterman’s studio.

Her appearance at the event had to be cut short after over-zealous fans broke down a security barrier and nearly mobbed the star.

Thankfully, Jennifer’s security team rushed the 24-year-old Oscar winner to safety and ushered her into a parked car nearby.

Despite the scary incident, Jennifer seems to be taking the Hunger Games pandemonium in stride. The gorgeous star has been showcasing her flawless figure in a number of fashion-forward outfits for the press tour, including a vampy red Antonio Berardi dress paired with strappy sandals for an appearance in New York City.

On Good Morning America, she wowed in a menswear-inspired Ulla Johnson shirtdress that showed off her long, lean legs, and during a hilarious appearance on The Colbert Report, she stunned in a Muglercobalt-blue dress with a matching jacket.

Of course, Jennifer’s candid interviews are just as dazzling as her on-point sense of style. The actress joked about her upcoming “downward spiral” with Stephen Colbert, though she recanted after deciding that drug use is bad for the skin.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 hits theatres on Nov. 21.
