Canadian ‘General Hospital’ star Jason Thompson ties the knot in gorgeous beach wedding

Canadian soap-opera star Jason Thompson is officially a married man. The handsome General Hospital actor wed his longtime love, Paloma Jonas, on Easter Sunday (April 5) in a stunning and intimate beachside ceremony surrounded by friends and family.

The St. Albert, Alberta native, who plays Dr. Patrick Drake on the popular soap, said “I do” on the sunny sands of San Pancho, Mexico.

The bride and groom wore matching white ensembles for the big day. Model Paloma was radiant in a simple and elegant gown that featured an open back with spaghetti straps. She accessorized the look with a stylish, wide-brimmed hat that that had a romantic, sheer-dotted Swiss overlay to partially cover her visage as she made her way down the aisle. Jason coordinated in an all-white suit paired with a pale-pink patterned shirt underneath.

Several of the actor's GH castmates tweeted their congratulations to the newlyweds, with Michelle Stafford (who plays Nina Clay) writing: “Congrats to one of THE greatest guys I know @MyJasonThompson on your marriage to the beautiful Paloma Jonas! Love&Laughter 4ever guys!!”

Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis on the show, also sent her best wishes. “ Congrats to my beautiful friend who just wed his beautiful bride this weekend @MyJasonThompson Kate & I adding love to ur love. #blessings.”

Jason has been starring as neurosurgeon Dr. Patrick Drake since 2005, while wife Paloma is a model, fashion designer and co-founder of lingerie brand Valentine NYC.

The actor proposed to his now-wife in July 2014.
