The past few episodes of Hockey Wives gave viewers a glimpse into the glamour (or lack thereof) of the hockey lifestyle while diving deep into the women’s friendships. This week, however, the focus was squarely on the relationships between the wives (or girlfriends, if you’re Maripier Morin) and their NHL beaus, highlighting intimate family moments. It also featured a stunning, pre-baby photoshoot with Noureen DeWulf and Ryan Miller for Hello! Canada magazine!
As the Anger Management actress and her Vancouver Canucks goalie husband prepared to welcome their first child together, Hello! Canada was there to capture their love and excitement. What readers didn't see was Ryan's unusual modelling technique, which involved holding his breath as the camera clicked. (We think it worked for him!) The happy couple have since welcomed a son, Bohdi Ryan Miller.
It was likewise a family affair in Quebec City for Maripier Morin, who angled for an engagement ring from boyfriend Brandon Prust while the couple spent Christmas together with both their families. After many tears (and a picturesque date at the Place D'Youville skating rink in Old Quebec), the pretty TV host was presented with the gift of a lifetime – though it was not at all what she was expecting
Meanwhile,Tiffany and Brijet jetted off to Utah for a an alumni charity game to support their husbands as they transition into retirement.
Most heartwarming of all this episode was Kodette LaBarbera, who – after enduring a difficult season apart from her husband – looked happier than ever as she and Jason were finally able to spend quality time together with their two boys.
