Watch the ‘Real Housewives of King’s Landing’ parody
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rivals Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards have got nothing on these two. A high point of Game of Thrones season 5 has been watching the queens of King’s Landing – Cersei Lannister and Margaery Tyrell – politically duke it out with snide remarks and passive-aggressive insults worthy of a Real Housewives franchise.
This week, a fan paid tribute to the fictional royals and their icy relationship with a spoof trailer, which reimagines Game of Thrones as a Bravo-fronted reality TV series called The Real Housewives of King’s Landing.
“Watch out, real housewives of the world. Our girls are putting King’s Landing on the map,” teases the mock-voiceover.
The video splices the best slights from the two women with real-life interviews from actresses Natalie Dormer and Lena Headey, which serve nicely as faux on-camera confessionals.

“I wish we had some wine for you. It’s a bit early in the day for us,” Margaery tells her mother-in-law in one of her nastiest jabs.

“What’s the proper way to address you now – Queen Mother or Dowager Queen?” adds the younger queen, taking a dig at Cersei’s age.
With its immense popularity and sweeping, epic themes, the HBO show based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Fire and Icebook series has spawned countless parodies over the course of its five-season run. Other spoofs include GOT as a Star Wars sequel, a Seinfeld episode and even as a quirky rom-com.
Game of Thrones airs Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO Canada.
