It’s all in a day’s work for Blake Lively, who engaged in a raucous recreation of the famed “La Tomatina” tomato fight while filming All I See Is You in Barcelona. The Gossip Girl actress shared Instagram snaps from before, during and after the scene, in which she’s doused in tomatoes and beaming widely. The actual event takes place in August in Buñol, Spain.
Despite husband Ryan Reynolds recently calling Blake the Beyoncé of red carpets, the starlet was dressed down in green shorts and a white top for the scene. She showed her nerves before the insanity takes off, standing in the midst of a sea of crushed tomatoes with the caption: “Before… #YesDummyHasHerPhoneInHerPocket.”
Then fans get a glimpse of the action with Blake donning a mask while covered in tomatoes while others stomp around her in the sea of red. Finally, the "bronde" beauty showed her 3.7 million followers the aftermath of the scene by lying in a pile of the crushed tomatoes. “I’ve finally become Italian food,” she wrote.
This fun series of snaps are just a few of the many that the Age of Adaline star has shared of her adventurous filming. While in Spain she also posed with a group of mimes, writing, “Who’s the class clown now suckers?!?!?!! Oh… Still me. Hmm. Mmk. Nevermind #BestJobEver #CanCirqueDuSoleilPleaseSeeThisAndInviteMeToJoinPLEASE#YesIKnowTheyreMimes.”
Prior to her adventures in Europe, filming kicked off in Thailand, where Blake showed off the country's stunning scenery. The 27-year-old shared a photo kissing a giraffe before posting a snap on a bridge in the jungle, showing off her new hair colour for the first time.
Blake was even exited about her incredible surroundings, writing, "Holy cow! A heart shaped mountain. Nothing more perfect than nature," next to a photo of a lush green landscape. She even went kayaking in the local waters for a scene, captioning the shot: "A day at the office."
In the film, Blake plays a blind woman who, upon restoration of her sight, begins to discover previously unseen and disturbing details about her marriage and their lives. The psychological drama is set to hit theatres in 2016.
