Martine Forget and Angela Price spill secrets from ‘Hockey Wives’

“People assume we’re drinking, shopping, waiting for the paycheque,” jokes Angela Price, wife of Montreal Canadiens goaltender Carey Price, about the misconceptions people have where the wives and girlfriends of professional hockey players are concerned. “I’m changing diapers!” chimes in first-time mom Martine Forget, who, along with her fiancé Jonathan Bernier of the Toronto Maple Leafs, welcomed a son in August 2014.

Hello! sat down with the fun and personable duo to talk about the second season of their hit documentary series Hockey Wives (Wednesdays, W Network), life with their partners and the monumental milestones they’ll share with viewers.

Original cast member Martine admitted that having cameras following her around became easier this season but “it’s always in the back of your mind.” Still, the formidable model isn’t letting that stop her from sharing her life as a mom and bride-to-be with fans. “I’m planning my wedding so I’m going to be trying on dresses and that fun stuff,” says Martine. Angela is also planning for a special event. After marrying in 2013, the Washington native and her husband are preparing to welcome their first child together in the new year.
