Paris Jackson delighted her fans on Monday when she shared a sneak peek of her acting debut on the hit Fox series Star.

In a behind-the-scenes clip, the teen daughter of the late-music icon Michael Jackson spoke openly about her gig. The musical drama follows the life of a girl group as they scale new heights within the music industry. Their caregiver is played by Queen Latifah.

"When I heard about Star, I watched the first couple episodes and fell in love," she said. "I met Lee [Daniels, also the creator of Empire] and he was kind of interested in getting me on the show."

Paris Jackson will make her acting debut in TV's Star.

When the opportunity came along to make an appearance, she seized it even though the character she plays is her complete opposite.

"This role is really opposite to me and, for it being my first real on-camera acting, I think it's a good way for me to show my acting capabilities," she said of her onscreen persona, Rachel Wallace.

According to reports, Rachel is a sort-of marketing and PR genius who manages a photo shoot of the girl group -- pushing everyone's boundaries in an attempt to get the perfect shot. Regardless of her character's edge, Paris went on to say the cast and crew welcomed her on set immediately.

"It was nice being welcomed so quickly... Shooting was a lot of fun! Everybody was so nice. The girls are amazing to work with."

On top of acting, the 18-year-old has embarked on several firsts in the past year, including modelling and fronting several major magazines, including Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Bookand Rolling Stone.

Speaking to the latter, Paris discussed her future goals, which also includes making a positive impact on the world.

"I was born with this platform," she said. "Am I gonna waste it and hide away? Or am I going to make it bigger and use it for more important things?"

On what her dad would think, she noted he always used to say, "If you wanna be bigger than me, you can. If you don't want to be at all, you can. But I just want you to be happy."
