YOUNG SHELDON
Get ready to dig into the backstory of The Big Bang Theory’s brainy hero. Iain Armitage plays the titular character as a precocious – and incredibly gifted – nine-year-old growing up in East Texas. The show is narrated by Jim Parsons (who plays Sheldon on the enduring sitcom). Bazinga!
PREMIERE Sept. 25, CBS

THE MAYOR
Struggling rapper Courtney Rose (Brandon Michael Hall) has it all figured out. He plans to run for mayor, promote his mixtape throughout the campaign and then get back to his fledgling music career. The problem? He wins the race. With guidance from his mom (Yvette Nicole Brown) and an experienced campaign manager (Lea Michele), he hopes to find his way.

THE ORVILLE
Fast-forward 400 years in the future to meet the crew of the U.S.S. Orville. Series creator Seth MacFarlane plays the spaceship’s captain, Ed, in this comedy-sci-fi mash-up. Ed’s new gig is a dream come true until he finds out his ex-wife, Kelly (Adrianne Palicki of Friday Night Lights), is the first officer. Watch for a special guest star: Charlize Theron!

WISDOM OF THE CROWD
A tech mogul steps away from his headline-making company to focus on avenging his daughter’s tragic death. Entourage’s Jeremy Piven plays the devastated dad, whose latest invention crowd-sources clues that will help him close the case.

ALIAS GRACE
If you loved The Handmaid’s Tale, here’s your next Margaret Atwood-inspired series. Based on the Canadian author’s historical novel, the new drama stars Sarah Gadon as the titular Grace, an Irish immigrant and housemaid arrested for murder in 1843 but who claims she doesn’t remember her crime.

TEN DAYS IN THE VALLEY
In her new drama, Kyra Sedgwick plays a TV producer known for tackling gritty stories. Buoyed by the success of a recent documentary, she dives into work on a crime series. But when her daughter goes missing, she’s forced to apply her investigative skills to a mystery that hits close to home.

THE SINNER
We know she committed the crime, but why did she do it? In her darkest role in years, Jessica Biel leads this simmering new series about a young mother who can’t explain her violent impulses.

THE GREAT CANADIAN BAKING SHOW
There’s a heartwarming – and super-sweet – addition to the fall lineup. The Great British Bake-Off gets a Canadian twist, with Schitt’s Creek star Dan Levy and actress Julia Chan serving as co-hosts. Watch as amateur bakers take on unique challenges to impress the pastry chef judges.
