MINNIE DRIVER AND BARBRA STREISAND TUSSLE OVER WEDDING GOWN

While Minnie Driver must be grateful to have Barbra Streisand’s formidable organisational skills at her disposal for her planned summer wedding to Barbra's stepson Josh Brolin, it now seems she may have had enough of her stepmother-in-law-to-be’s suggestions.

Good Will Hunting star Minnie planned to walk down the aisle in a Vera Wang designed gown, but Barbra reportedly insists the bride wear a frock by Donna Karan. Barbra is longtime friends with Donna, and has repeatedly asked the designer to send Minnie personal sketches, which she’s done.

The An Ideal Husband actress won’t budge, sticking to the stunning Vera Wang gown she’s already selected. However, to smooth things over with the notoriously controlling Oscar winner, Minnie has passed the event planning duties over to La Streisand.

“Barbra just loves organising this wedding,” reveals one source. “But Minnie is more than a little bemused by the way her big day is being taken over.”

Minnie and Josh will marry at the clifftop Malibu estate where Barbra wed Josh’s father, actor James Brolin, in 1998. The upcoming nuptials are rumoured to be costing £750,000.
