Tom Cruise has given his strongest indication yet that he will eventually tie the knot with Penelope Cruz. “I’d like to marry again one day, but there are no plans in the future,” the 39-year-old actor told US TV show Entertainment Tonight. “But I’m open to it, absolutely. I want a relationship – I mean, I’m in a relationship, but marriage right now is not on my plans.”
There have been reports that the Top Gun actor and his stunning Spanish girlfriend, 12 years his junior, were planning a trip down the aisle at the beginning of next year – as well as whispers that Pé is expecting his child. But Tom firmly scotched those rumours. “I’d like to have more kids, but I hesitate saying that because they’re going to start saying: ‘He’s having a kid now.’ That’s not happening,” says the actor.
When – or should that be if? – he does tie the knot with Penelope, it will be Tom’s third marriage. Both Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman have been bowled over by the Cruise charm – before both unions ended in divorce. Nicole and Tom have just recently come to an amicable agreement on carving up their joint fortune, estimated to be over £200 million.
