Laura Whitmore has confirmed she's hanging up her jungle boots after five years presenting the I'm a Celebrity… Get Me out of Here spin-off show. The 30-year-old announced the news on her Instagram account on Thursday, by posting an official statement confirming her decision to quit.

"After 5 incredible series working with my extended I'm a Celeb family, I've taken the tough decision to hang up my jungle boots," Laura wrote. "It's been such a wonderful experience but I feel it's time to move on. I wish the team well and look forward to tuning in later this year as well as continuing to work with ITV on other shows."

The television presenter added the caption: This is a statement I released to the press yesterday… 5 incredible series! Sorry to say goodbye but been thinking about it for a long time and it's time. Still my favourite show on the telly!!"

Laura has presented the ITV2 show alongside Joe Swash since 2011, with comedian David Morgan joining the team in 2015. David also announced he was leaving the programme after just one season earlier in the week, explaining: "I had the greatest time in the jungle last year and am sad I won't be able to join them this year.

"I'll be watching from the safety of my own sofa with a homemade cockroach-tini."

While Laura is an accomplished television presenter, she has most recently been making headlines over her love life. The blonde beauty was linked to Leonardo DiCaprio at a BAFTA after-party in February, and in March it was suggested that she had struck up a new romance with former Game of Thrones star Richard Madden.

Laura recently opened up to HELLO! about what she looks for in a man. "Someone who can make me laugh and with whom I can have fun," she told the magazine. "I love banter so someone who can keep me on my toes. I don't mind having a few arguments.

"I'm not interested in big, over-the-top gestures but little things, like I'll keep the ticket stubs from a gig I was at, or a T-shirt."
