The cast of Coronation Street have opened up about the death of Kylie Platt ahead of Friday's dramatic episode. Jack P. Shepherd, Ben Price, Helen Worth, Tina O'Brien and Lucy Fallon all appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday to speak about Kylie's tragic end.

Jack, who plays Kylie's husband David Platt, admitted that he struggled to film some of his final scenes with actress Paula Lane. "They were really harrowing to do," he said. "I just had to literally say words and not look at anyone, not look at Paula, or Helen [Worth]. The director had to tell me to actually give something. I couldn't, because that would have been it and we only had one or two shots."

Some of the Coronation Street cast appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss Kylie Platt's exit

Helen, who plays Gail Rodwell (née Platt) added: "This was the most amazing scene, I was there. I just know that Jack and Paula were amazing… It was absolutely brilliant. I was in tears, as Jack was. I couldn't read the script either. It was just incredible. I hope Paula is watching."

Ben – Nick Tilsley in the soap – said that Kylie's death is "absolutely moving". "They [Jack and Paula] are both brilliant. It's the best stuff I've ever seen on Corrie. It really is worth watching. It's very, very sad to see her go."

Kylie's dramatic death will be aired on Friday

Tina, who plays Sarah Platt, agreed that Paula would be missed "terribly" by all the cast. "She was a massive part of the Platts," she said, before discussing the theory that Calum Logan has returned from the dead to kill Kylie.

"Yeah, maybe she wasn't deluded. Maybe everyone else was wrong. No, we don't want to spoil it. I haven't seen it myself, but I heard it's incredible," she said, before adding: "It wasn't me as Sarah-Louise is still in hospital!"
