Forget flowers and chocolates, Tom Hardy is about to make everyone's Valentine's Day dreams come true with a brand new episode of CBeebies' Bedtime Story!

The Legend star melted hearts during his first appearance of the show, where he read You Must Bring a Hat by Simon Philip and Kate Hindley with the help of his dog, Woody. Now CBeebies has announced that the star will be returning for another story, tweeting: "Yep. He's back. More #TomHardy!"

Fans were quick to discuss the upcoming episode, with one telling the network: "You've done well. Very well." Another added: "You are spoiling us! Keep at it." The role makes quite a change for the actor, who is known for selecting gritty roles and has most recently starred in BBC drama Taboo. In the show he plays the troubled James Delaney, a man who returns to Britain for the funeral of his father after spending twelve years in Africa.

Tom will appear in a new episode of Bedtime Story

The Oscar-nominated star isn't the first famous actor to try his hand at a bedtime story on the show, as James McAvoy, Damian Lewis and Patrick Stewart have previously appeared on the show. As a father-of-two himself, Tom has previously opened up to HELLO! Online about the impact his children have had on his life.

"Being a father has given me the kind of purpose that makes you think more carefully about how you live your life," he said. "I made a lot of mistakes and I put my mum and dad through a lot because they were so worried about me. I take great pride in being a father and make sure I'm there for him and helping him as he makes his way in the world."
