David Beckham made his first appearance at the BAFTA awards on Sunday. The father-of-four said that he was very excited to be around "such talented people" and revealed that his children love the Paddington movie.
David presented the cast and crew of The Theory of Everything with the Outstanding British Film award, and described the film as "stunning".

Laura Haddock wowed the crowds in her stunning Ashi Studio dress. The 29-year-old attended the awards with her husband, Hunger Games actor Sam Claflin, and was hailed by many as one of the best dressed ladies of the night.

Benedict Cumberbatch shared a sweet moment with his fiancée Sophie Hunter on the red carpet. The couple, who are expecting their first child together this spring, shared a tender glance which resulted in Twitter users dubbing them "the definition of love".

Ralph Fiennes had some fun on the red carpet, striking a pose for the awaiting crowds. The actor starred in The Grand Budapest Hotel, which took home five awards including Original Screenplay.

Professor Stephen Hawking received a standing ovation from the audience when he took to the stage with The Theory of Everything actress Felicity Jones.
The duo awarded Interstellar with the award for Visual Effects, and Felicity remarked she was honoured to present a trophy "with the only person more intelligent than Stephen Fry". Stephen drew laughs from the crowd when he quipped: "Yes, and better looking."

Tom Cruise was a surprise guest and presented Boyhood with the award for Best Film. The actor is currently in the UK to film the latest Mission Impossible movie.

Stephen Fry and Cuba Gooding Jr shared a smooch on stage when the actor presented the Supporting Actress award.
"Your lips are so soft!" exclaimed Cuba after the kiss, adding: "That's the first time I've kissed a member fo the royal family."

Eddie Redmayne said it was "one of the greatest nights of my life", as he collected his Best Actor trophy. He dedicated the award to three families - his loved ones, his "professional family" including Felicity Jones, and Stephen Hawking's family for "their trust in us, their generosity and kindness, and for reminding me of the the great strength that comes from the will to live a full and passionate life".
