Though we only see the 57TH Annual GRAMMY Awards on TV, there's plenty that goes on before and after the main event! From lunches and concerts to after parties with champagne flowing until early morning, A-listers practically have to gear up for a week of festivities around Music’s Biggest Night®.
Take the annual party thrown by famed producer Clive Davis. The pre-GRAMMY Gala is always packed with the event’s biggest stars. Last year, Rihanna was spotted partying alongside singing heavyweights like Smokey Robinson. Jane Fonda reportedly twerked to Robin Thicke's performance of "Blurred Lines" alongside other attendees like Taylor Swift and R. Kelly.
Not to be outdone is the annual Creative Artists Agency (CAA) party. Like Owen’s bash, this one is held the night before the GRAMMYs, but the crowd is much younger. An industry insider told Billboard magazine that it's the place to be seen on GRAMMY weekend. "It's younger… a lot of [CAA’s] clients weren't invited to Clive's party, so they go there instead." The word on the street is that most of the attendees dance and drink until dawn.
Still, if you happen to be in Hollywood and want to catch a glimpse of a famous face, the time to do it is once all of the trophies have been handed out. Last year’s Universal Music after party at the Ace Hotel celebrated the night’s biggest winners, including Taylor Swift, Robin Thicke and Katy Perry (the "Roar" songstress traded her music-noted Valentino for a fairy-like blue gown). The affair was rumoured to be one of the most upbeat and popular parties la-la-land has ever seen.
