VIDEO: Madonna introduces MDNA skincare line with eerie new video

Madonna has released a seriously eerie video to promote her new range of MDNA skincare products — and we're not quite sure what to make of it.

Between black-and-white shots of the 55-year-old lounging in a bathtub, lying on a tiled floor, or admiring herself in a mirror, her ghostly voice-over echoes, "Having good skin is important to me, but so are other things.”

The Material Girl, who is wearing a black trench coat, garters and polka-dotted gloves in the clip, goes on to narrate a series of bizarre and nonsensical sentences amidst the erratic visuals.

“Creation. Your body smells of honey from the cone,” she purrs. “Essence. Your amber silken skin smells of your mind.”

She continues: "I've spent hours on it. Months on it. Years on it. Creation. Essence. Alchemy. Transformation. Substance. Connections. Revolutions. Magic. Immortal."

The mother-of-four announced the launch of her MDNA skincare collection in collaboration with MTG – which is one of Japan’s leading skincare companies – this past February.

The line, which is so far only available in Japan, includes a skin rejuvenator, a clay mask and a serum promising “firm, resilient and radiant skin overflowing with energy.”

Madonna’s skincare line is the latest in a long list of business endeavours, including fragrances, footwear, and even a gym franchise, Hard Candy, which opened a new location in Toronto last month.
