She gave birth to her second child, Joseph, just six months ago, but Ivanka Trump has already slipped back into pre-baby shape.
Donald Trump’s 32-year-old daughter is showing off her trim physique in the May issue of Shape, while revealing her diet and exercise secrets for keeping fit.
The beautiful blond businesswoman, who bares her toned midriff on the magazine’s cover, admits that motherhood drastically changed her eating habits. Where she once chowed down on carb-heavy foods (“I ate like a teenager,” she says), Ivanka now opts for lean protein like chicken or salmon.
“Slowly, I started to enjoy, if not crave, these healthier options. Now healthy eating is the norm for me,” she says.
The Celebrity Apprentice judge also tries her best to stay active, despite having two young children to look after (her daughter, Arabella, turns three in July) and a family business to help run.
Her exercise efforts have paid off, however, as the former model reveals that she shed 40 pounds after giving birth to Arabella and 30 pounds since welcoming Joseph in October.
“When I was in my 20s, I felt guilty if I didn’t exercise — now I feel guilty if I do,” she tells the magazine. “Even if it's just an hour, that's time I could be spending with my family. So rather than beat myself up, I find things that I like to do with them instead.”
Ivanka, who is the vice president of development and acquisitions at The Trump Organization, says she and husband Jared Kushner play tennis together to stay in shape. She also credits her trainer, Rhonda Malkin, and various fitness apps for keeping her motivated.
