Kim Kardashian's wedding make-up artist reveals how to obtain the look

The man behind Kim Kardashian’s chiseled cheeks and flawless face, make-up artist Mario Dedivanovic, is revealing how he transformed the reality TV star on her wedding day.

Kim looked absolutely perfect for her nuptials to Kanye West last weekend thanks to her longtime friend and make-up artist to the stars, who just jetted back from Florence after the nuptials. Mario spoke about doing Kim’s beauty look for her trip down the aisle in a recent interview.

Kim and Mario struck a pose in the photobooth following her nuptials

“It was amazing,” said Mario, who Kim first met on a shoot over five years ago. “We worked together for so long that I’m so comfortable with her face.

“It was actually not nerve-wracking. It was a great experience. She looked stunning.”

He is under a gagging order that prevents him from revealing any secrets about Kim’s lavish ceremony, but he did describe the event as “magical”.

“It was a magical weekend,” he said. “I can’t really speak of any details. To put it in one word, it was magical. It was amazing. I am very happy for her.”

Mario also revealed his secrets for perfecting the contouring look that Kim has made famous.

“Contouring frames the face and chisels the cheeks,” he said. “So basically it’s putting a little bit of bronzer on the hairline and jawline and on the hollows of the cheeks and the bridges of the nose.”

“It thins out the face and gives warmth to the face.”

It does, however, require patience and you need to have a bit of time on your hands.

“Sometimes it takes 20 minutes, sometimes an hour,” he said. “The most important thing is to blend, blend, blend.”

Before applying her make-up, Mario discusses with Kim what outfit she will be wearing and what event she will be attending.

“Usually we look at what she’s going to be wearing or the event she will be attending,” he said. “I take inspiration from her outfit and her hair.”
