It’s the first time that the elegant 69-year-old has lent her name to a beauty brand, however she continues to remain modest about her appearance.

“I am not gorgeous and I never was,” said the BAFTA-winning actress. “I was always OK looking and I’m keen to stay that way.”
“I have always loved the L’Oreal Paris brand, and I hope I can inspire other women towards greater confidence by making the most of their natural good looks. We are all worth it!”
As Dame Helen joins the brand’s impressive list of ambassadors such as Beyonce Knowles, Eva Longoria and Lea Michele, the English actress wows in the campaign images as she poses in a chic black suit, showing off her glowing skin with minimal make-up.

Dame Helen received critical acclaim for The Queen, which saw her catapulted to international fame as she starred in the leading role.
Since her Oscar-winning performance, she has met the elegant monarch on numerous occasions, but revealed that she was always nervous.

“You’re thinking ‘it’s the Queen, it’s the Queen’,” she said, and asked whether she still got star-struck replied, "Of course, even more so I think because I feel self-conscious, you know."
