Golden Globes 2015: Hair and makeup inspiration from 60 beauty looks on the red carpet

By Sarah Kelsey

Fashion always takes centre stage on a red carpet, including the Golden Globes. At Sunday night's 2015 fête, however, we couldn't help but notice the beauty looks each A-lister donned for the awards show, and we'd say that hair and makeup almost stole the show!

From lips to eyeshadow and supremely styled locks, no look was the same, though a few key trends emerged from the hustle and bustle of the affair.

Side-parted hairdos were a highlight of the night, with everyone from Sienna Miller and Rosamund Pike to Jessica Chastain and Amy Poehler putting their own spin on the look.

There was also increased interest in the hard-to-master centre part. Anna Kendrick, Claire Danes and Emily Blunt aced the trend masterfully. Lightly curled locks and sexy updos rounded out the key coiffures of the evening.

When it comes to makeup, we can officially say the red lip is back. More than a handful of A-listers rocked their own version of rouge, including Viola Davis, Taylor Schilling, Patricia Arquette, Naomi Watts, Lupita Nyong'o and Leslie Mann. Not to be outdone were the ladies who went nude. Sienna and Maggie Gyllenhaal barely looked like they were wearing product on their puckers.

Eye makeup was just as masterfully mixed on the carpet. Some stars sported a smoky eye, like Anna Faris and Diane Kruger, while others (think: Kate Hudson) went more au naturel.

One thing almost every leading lady seemed to do was to play up her eyebrows. Never before have we seen so many women frame their face in such a fabulous way. In 2015, we should all take a note from the brow playbooks of Amal Clooney, Alison Williams and Katie Holmes.
