Kim Kardashian and Kanye West head home with baby Saint

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West were vocal about their joy in expanding their family, and the new parents were likely ecstatic to take their new addition, baby Saint, home. The A-list couple checked out of Cedars-Sinai hospital on Monday (Dec. 7) with their infant son in tow, hopping into a Range Rover with tinted windows.

Kim, Kanye, two-year-old daughter North and newborn Saint will stay with her mom, Kris Jenner, while their own home in Calabasas, Calif., is being remodelled. Fans will remember that the couple also stayed with Kris after the birth of their first child in June 2013.

"They are so ecstatic," a source told Us Weekly. "Kim and Kanye are both so happy he's here and Nori (North) is already in love."

Little Saint was born on Dec. 5 in the same L.A. hospital where Lamar Odom has been staying since his near-fatal overdose in October. Family members Kris, Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian were all by Kim's side when she went into labour.

Two days later, the reality star announced that they have named their son Saint West. "To our fans, Saint West, 12.05.15. 8 pounds, 1 ounce," she wrote on her website on Monday.

According to E! News, Kim's highly publicized, difficult pregnancy was one of the biggest influences in choosing her son's moniker.

An insider said the couple went with Saint because it is akin to saying he is "a blessing," especially "because she had such a difficult pregnancy.”

One of the very first people to meet baby Saint was proud auntie Khloe, and she was eager to share her feelings about the new arrival during a live stream with her fans at the weekend.

"My little nephew was born. He is so cute and perfect," she revealed. "I love him. And Mommy and Daddy are doing fantastic."
