Heidi Klum is one of the world's most recognizable supermodels and TV personalities, and the blond beauty is always keen to share how she stays healthy and in shape. Here, we've rounded up the mother of four's top tips over the years, from diet to exercise. Click through our gallery to read them all...

On setting goals:
"I think it's also important to set goals," Heidi told Glamour. "For example, when I started to run, I would run a mile and then walk a mile and kept building up as time went on. If you are running on the street, go one mailbox or one house further each day. It also helps to build up your endurance!"

On indulging:
"It's important to keep a balanced diet, but I'm not a fan of deprivation. If I want a cheeseburger, I am not only going to eat that cheeseburger, but I'm going to enjoy that cheeseburger," she told Glamour.

On finding the time to work out:
"I could be more fit but I need the time, I am just like other moms, trying to find the time for myself and there is so little. So I incorporate exercise into my daily life," she told HollywoodLife. "I take the two dogs and go on a hike or I jump on the trampoline with the kids. In the summer time, I go in the water with them!"

On staying motivated:
"My biggest piece of advice when you're lacking a little motivation is to make plans with a friend," she told InStyle. "That always motivates me to get out of bed in the morning – you don't want to leave a friend hanging."

On dieting:
"I've never gone on a diet to lose weight," she told Allure. "I have taken a few things out of my diet, like pasta and white bread, which are not so necessary for the body."

On finding the right balance:
"I also think it's important not to exercise too much. I don't think you have to do a lot, but if you do a little bit all the time, I think that's important. Sometimes I'll do some little weights while I'm running," she told buro247.

On a healthy diet:
"I'm not huge on carbs, even though that's probably one of my favourite foods – French fries, pasta, all that stuff," she explained to Vogue. "But I try to stay away from that. I eat pretty healthily. We make smoothies every morning with any kind of fruit and carrots. Not with powders or anything like that."

On exercising as you get older:
"The metabolism definitely changes when you turn 40. I always thought, 'That's not going to happen to me, but it is happening to me," she told Women's Health. "If I indulge more, I have to exercise more. I figured out what works for me."
