When it came to her beauty look at her royal wedding to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle didn’t stray far from her signature style as the new Duchess of Sussex kept her hair and makeup natural all around. After much debate about whether she’d wear her hair up or down, Meghan chose to go with an updo. The legendary hair stylist Serge Normant was responsible for her intricate chignon with a centre part, topped with a spectacular tiara. Serge, whose star-studded clientele includes Julia Roberts and Julianne Moore, most recently created Sarah Jessica Parker’s dramatic hair look at the Met Gala earlier this month.
Meghan’s chic chignon was accompanied by Queen Mary’s diamond bandeau tiara, lent to her by the Queen, and a lace veil by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy. The updo – a slight departure from her usual messy bun with loose tendrils – showed off her Cartier white gold and diamond Galanterie earrings.
Her glam squad also included New York-based makeup artist and close friend Daniel Martin. The beauty look focused on showing off the new bride’s fresh, glowing complexion, including her freckles. Groomed brows and fluttery lashes framed the face, while a soft pink lipstick finished off the look.
On the manicure front, Meghan kept it understated with a neutral and feminine hue. The nail polish could be Essie’s Ballet Slippers, a favourite of the Duchess of Cambridge and Queen Elizabeth II, or Kure Bazaar’s Rose Milk, known to be one of Meghan’s favourite shades.
