Kensington Palace has another little one coming! Natasha Archer, Duchess Kate’s stylist, is getting ready to welcome her first child into the world with Getty’s royal photographer, Chris Jackson. Chris took to Instagram to share the news with his 93,000 followers alongside a beautiful snap of his wife cradling her baby bump. He captioned the photo: “… and in other exciting news…”, finishing off the thought with a simple baby emoji.
After a crazy busy week for both, from Prince Louis’ christening and the RAF centenary to Kate’s appearances at Wimbledon, the couple seemed to have enjoyed a brief babymoon in Cornwall following their announcement – and fans were quick to gush with congratulations on the photographer’s post. "I'm currently driving (well obviously not at this moment) so won't be able to reply immediately but we just wanted to say thanks for all the kind messages," Chris later shared on his Instagram stories.
The beautiful couple said “I do” in a private ceremony in France at Chateau Rigaud near Bordeaux. Surrounded by close family and friends, the couple, likely brought together by their royal jobs, exchanged vows. Accompanying a striking black and white image, the groom gushed: “My beautiful Wife #bestweekend.” His wife, who’s been working with Kate since she became William and Kate’s personal assistant in 2007, stunned in a white lace wedding gown featuring Meghan Markle’s favoured boatneck neckline.
The 30-year-old stylist, affectionately known as “Tash” around Buckingham Palace, is thought to have scored her royal promotion to stylist in 2014 because of her ability to relate to Kate’s desire to dress and look her age. An insider previously told Vanity Fair: “Initially Kate was a reluctant fashion icon, but now she enjoys it. Tash helps source some of the clothes. She shops a lot for Kate online, and calls in hundreds of dresses for Kate to try on. She has persuaded Kate to take some more risks. The hemlines are shorter and Kate’s really pushing the boat out in the fashion stakes.”
While it’s not clear just exactly how they met, we’re leaning to believe it was love at first snap! Chris has been photographing the Royal Family for well over 15 years, capturing some of the family’s most precious moments, like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge ’s wedding engagement in 2010 and some of the most up-close-and-personal images of the Queen . Given that Natasha has spent so much time with Kate, their paths must have crossed many times.
