The Duchess of Cambridge is back and she's got a fresh new look! Having brought her maternity leave with Prince Louis to a close on Tuesday (Oct. 2) as she paid a visit to the Sayers Croft Forest School and Wildlife Garden in London, Kate was dressed down in an olive green ensemble. She also debuted a new hairstyle that's absolutely perfect for fall, from the new length and style to stunning autumnal lowlights.
As she arrived for a day of gardening fun with excited schoolchildren, fans instantly noticed the duchess's new 'do. Having cut an inch or two off her mane, Kate's locks fell just past her shoulders in the softest of tousled waves. And the colour is sheer perfection! Giving her hair some dimension with a smattering of copper lowlights, including a few that frame her beautiful face, the hue is spot on for the season.
This isn't the first time the royal has changed up her look following her maternity leave. On her return from time off with Princess Charlotte, the mother of three debuted pretty, side-swept bangs. After a four month leave, as compared to six months with Prince Louis, Kate was dressed to impress at the Anna Freud Centre in September 2015 wearing a fit-and-flare houndstooth coat dress with her brand new 'do.
For her 2018 debut following a summer of family fun that included Prince Harry and Meghan's royal wedding and Prince Louis' christening, plus a high-profile trip to Wimbledon, the 36-year-old looked casual chic as she chatted with schoolchildren and toured the Paddington Recreation Ground. Pairing a khaki Fjällräven jacket with a pretty printed Joseph Rainer blouse, cozy sweater and Zara motorcycle jeans, Kate looked happy to be back to her royal duties. And the queen of recycling closet staples anchored the look with her favourite knee-high Penelope Chilvers boots - which she's been wearing for more than a decade!
Fans are thrilled to have Prince William's wife back in the spotlight, though not many engagements are on the calendar as of yet. She'll be making a decidedly more dressy outing on Oct. 12 for Princess Eugenie's royal wedding, followed by appearances during the state visit of Netherlands' King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima at the end of October.
