When it comes to semi-permanent beauty, post-treatment care is essential to ensure a lasting and precise look. Brows, which can take the longest to heal, require diligent care. Avoid direct sunlight and wetting the area for at least 24 hours to promote healing, and steer clear of anti-aging creams or lotions with strong active ingredients that may cause irritation. Instead, after a few days, reach for a nourishing, oil-based balm or salve to gently hydrate the area. Pack a pair of sunglasses to wear after an eyeliner tattoo, as eyes may be sensitive to sun, and avoid wearing contact lenses for at least a day to give the eye area a chance to heal. With all semi-permanent tattoos, ditch your makeup routine for at least five days post-treatment and avoid strenuous workouts, facials, steam rooms or other potentially irritating activities.
