Beyoncé has given her fans a glimpse of her new hair style on with an Instagram picture. The superstar, who has had a tough few weeks after a video emerged of her husband Jay Z and sister Solange having a row in the lift of a hotel following the Met Ball, unveiled long plaits. In the picture, which sees Beyoncé pouting at the camera, the songstress's ombré hair has been put into tiny braids. Strolling around New York with husband Jay Z, the mum of Blue Ivy showed off the plaits, which reach down well past her waist to Rapunzel-esque effect. It's not the first time Beyoncé has experimented with the style – she trialled the look back in January, again updating her fans with the new style on Instagram. Beyoncé's hair news comes just weeks after explosive footage of the family row between Solange and Jay Z was leaked. Beyoncé broke her silence on the issue with a public statement. "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident," she said. "But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it. "Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred," it read. "They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologised to each other and we have moved forward as a united family." Beyoncé's statement came after The Standard Hotel confirmed that it had identified and fired the employee who leaked the security camera clip of Solange' scuffle with 99 Problems rapper Jay Z. The New York establishment said the person responsible for leaking the much talked about footage had been terminated for "breaching the security policies of the hotel and recording the confidential CCTV video."
