Beyoncé floored fans when she arrived at the Met Ball on Monday night. The 33-year-old showed off her incredible figure and world-famous curves in a racy sheer Givenchy gown with multi-coloured jewelled embellishment. The singer has revealed the secret behind her toned body, admitting that she has been sticking to a vegan diet ahead of the glitzy event – the 22 Day Revolution diet by Marco Borges.

"The truth is that if a Houston-born foodie like me can do it, you can too," the singer writes in the foreword of the nutritionist's new book which explains the diet. "You just need to try it for 22 days."

The diet, favoured by other stars including Jennifer Lopez, is plant-based with a mixture of whole foods, and bans meat, eggs, dairy, alcohol or processed foods. Beyoncé first started the regime in November 2013, with rapper husband Jay Z also taking part. Since then, the Crazy in Love singer claims to have lost 65lbs, noting that she is in the 'best shape' of her life.

"All the meals are incredibly unique and delicious," Marco told HELLO! "It would be difficult to pick just one but some of our [Beyoncé and Jay Z] favorites include the hearty breakfast granola, home-style split-pea and vegetable soup, Spanish style paella and gluten-free pesto pasta."

"They loved it," Marco told PEOPLE, speaking about music's power couple. "They walked away with a greater understanding of the powerful benefits of plant-based nutrition.

"They were getting people saying, ‘Your skin has this glow.’ And who doesn’t like being told they look awesome? [Beyoncé] showed up to the Grammys [in 2014] and everyone’s jaws were on the floor."

In the past Beyoncé has been famed for trying different diets including master cleanses and detoxes, but she recently revealed that the arrival of daughter Blue Ivy changed her attitude towards getting in shape.

"After having my daughter, I made a conscious effort to regain control of my health and my body," she admitted. "But I didn't want to do a crash diet. I was a mum now. I needed to change my ways and set an example for my child."
