There's no doubt that Beyoncé stole the show when she performed during the Super Bowl half-time show alongside Coldplay and Bruno Mars. The 34-year-old was as flawless as ever, showing off her incredible dance moves while singing new hit Formation, and turning heads with her voluminous curly hair and showstopping beauty.

Now celebrity make-up artist Sir John, the man behind her striking look, has revealed how you too can recreate her dazzling beauty look…

Beyoncé wowed at the Super Bowl on Sunday night

"We've been prepping this for a while," he told Glamour. "At first I was thinking of doing a cat eye, but I wasn't crazy about how it looked on the cameras; so I completely abandoned ship and went with something else."

He added: "At night, cameras dance off your complexion in a completely different way. You can go for more of a glam look or a smokey effect. I wanted her to have pop. We're bringing a little disco into the daytime."

Sir John prepped the Crazy in Love singer's skin by applying a clay mask the day before, and then using rose oil "because it hydrates, but it's also really repairing". The make-up guru then used a light moisturiser and matt foundation to enhance Beyoncé's already radiant complexion.

"I wanted to keep it as sheer as possible. It's not a two-hour show, so it's okay to do more of a fresh look," he explained. "Plus, her skin is in top shape, so she doesn't need a lot."

Beauty addicts around the world coveted Beyoncé's on-trend shimmering eyeshadow – created with a matte brown powder, with a copper shade on top.

Sir John said: "I like to start with matte first—it's something to lay the pigment on. And the contrast of matte next to metallic is really nice," says Sir John. He finished the eyes with coffee-toned liner and lots of black mascara on both top and bottom lashes.

Finally, he completed the pop superstar's look with a warm nude lipstick mixed with metallic pigment "pressed into lips".
