The Duchess of Sussex doesn't do anything by halves! A big delivery was spotted arriving at the New York hotel that Meghan is staying in, and they appear to be party favours for her upcoming baby shower. A dozen luxury suitcases by Away were dropped off at The Mark on Wednesday morning, and were carefully packaged and unloaded outside the hotel by assistants.
They look to be cabin size luggage, which means they cost at least £225 each, although Meghan may have wanted to personalise each suitcase for her friends by adding a monogram for £50 each. The more luxurious aluminium cases start from £425.
Meghan and her friends are pulling out all the stops for the royal baby shower. Harpist Erin Hill was also pictured arriving at the hotel with her harp. Earlier this week, a crib by babyletto was also dropped off at the Upper East Side venue.
A large cotton candy machine was wheeled into the hotel.
Tatler has reported that Meghan, pictured on Tuesday, is holding her baby shower in the hotel's penthouse suite, which is spread over two floors and offers stunning views over Central Park. The suite, which costs £60,000 per night, features five bedrooms, four fireplaces, six bathrooms and two powder rooms.
The celebrations will reportedly kick off with a flower arranging lesson, after which guests can tuck into a dessert table especially prepared by the hotel's head chef, Jean-Georges Vongerichten.
Her former Suits co-star Abigail Spencer was one of the first guests to arrive, laden with presents for Meghan.
An outfit, thought to be Meghan's, was spotted being taken to the baby shower.
Meghan's royal wedding makeup artist and close friend, Daniel Martin, was on hand to prep the Duchess.
Serena Williams, who is said to be hosting the baby shower, shared an Instagram photo of herself from The Mark hotel's signature bathrooms.
Amal Clooney arrived, looking colourful in red on a grey New York day. More celebrity friends, including stylist Jessica Mulroney and Gayle King also arrived - you can watch the video of them here.
